Hedge Cutting in Marks Tey

We work on all the common hedges in local gardens, from fast growing conifer and leylandii that need keeping in check to box, laurel, privet, beech and mixed native hedges. Each has its own habit and its own best time and way to cut, and getting that right keeps the hedge healthy and looking its best. Tall boundary hedges are no problem: we have the access equipment to cut them safely at height, so there is no need for you to be up a wobbly ladder with a hedge trimmer.

Timing matters, and it is not just about the look. We take care through the main bird nesting season in spring and early summer, checking a hedge for active nests before we cut, because nesting birds are protected. Most hedges are best given their main cut in late summer once nesting is over, though we can carry out lighter trims at other times. When we finish we clear away every clipping and leave the garden tidy, and we can set up a regular visit so your hedges never get out of hand again.
